Art de Cure Reception

The last Friday in July found Len and I at the Art de Cure Reception where two of my works are on display and hopefully will sell. 50% of the proceeds will go to the American Diabetes Association.
The Art de Cure is a very interesting venue, the brain child of Jackie Watsky and others. Jackie explained how 1500 patients visit the medical practice a week. This gives a unique opportunity for many people to view regional artists.
I was amazed at the sheer wall space of the large medical suite - completely covered by art! It is a wonderful idea and Jackie told me how it is loved by patients and staff alike. It is a win-win for everyone!
Jackie also explained how they devised "Art de Cure" to be generic so that it can support any cause. Jackie also wants to "export" the idea to other medical practices. It is a wonderful idea - great thinking "outside of the box!"
So our hats are off for all the hard work of these wonderful ladies and the men who support them!

Thank you for sharing the photos of the Medical Clinic with the artwork for Art de Cure on the walls. It is a great idea, and a win-win situation for both the charity and the artists. I love the photo of you (darling hat, BTW) standing in front of your “Make a Splash” creation. Both you and your art look fabulous! Please let us know when you sell your pieces. QK
