Illustration Friday: "Woman" in the Moon


This is actually my draft painting. I've been experimenting with watercolor: very dilute paint and a big brush. This was done on very thin "scrap" paper. When I went to watercolor paper to do things properly I didn't like where the painting was going. Then I got company. The moment was lost so here She is.

another great example of why you don't need to do a draft version and then a final version. It's wonderful, haunting, mysterious.

Company came at just the right time! There are no mistakes in life...everything plays out just the way it's supposed to. Magical piece :)
